Past Projects 2022

Exploring the Anthropocene through the Arts hopes to raise awareness of sense of place, identity, and its correlation to land topographic changes. Environmental artist and educator Ms Zen Teh (Singapore) invited participants to weave artefacts, such as photographs and maps, into a larger artwork at workshops in Singapore and Cambodia. These items represented the relationships between people and their land, further indicating a collective understanding of a shared environment. The workshops were conducted as part of contemporary art exhibition documenta 15. The project culminated in exhibitions and artist talks at Photo Phnom Penh Festival and Sa Sa Arts Projects Gallery in Cambodia.

Dance Influx is a series of virtual dance workshops co-facilitated by dancers with disabilities from Indonesia and Singapore. This project was led by SIF Arts for Good Fellows Ms Yoana Kristiawati (Indonesia) of inclusive dance organisation Nalitari and Ms Kavitha Krishnan (Singapore) of Diverse Abilities Dance Collective (DADC), a division of Maya Dance Theatre. The project equipped the dancers with disabilities with skills and confidence to co-create and co-facilitate dance workshops online. A series of inspirational videos was also created based on the workshops to promote inclusive creative spaces beyond borders. The videos were released on the International Day of Persons with Disabilities on 3 December 2023.
